Lesson 50 — Can We Clarify the Brief?

我们能把任务说明确认清楚吗？

本课只有一个现实任务：发现任务说明中的模糊点，把它们转成五个精确问题，并复述最终确认的版本。

本课边界

本课澄清的是内部志愿者简报，不讨论候选照片和故事内容。friendly / complete / short只是方向词，不能自动推导受众、格式、长度、必含项目或审批者。

Daniel and Lena review Priya's original note before they continue editing version 0.6.

Part A — Turning vague words into questions

Daniel: Can we clarify the brief before I revise the layout? Priya's note says, “Make it friendly, include everything volunteers need and keep it short.”

Lena: Yes. We don't know whether “volunteers” means only the opening-hour greeters or everyone working that day.

Daniel: Could you confirm who the primary audience is? That's question one.

Lena: We also need the delivery format. Do they want a one-page PDF, a mobile page or both?

Daniel: Question two: could you confirm whether the final deliverable is a mobile-friendly one-page PDF?

Lena: And “everything they need” could become unlimited. When you say must-have information, do you mean arrival time, entrance, station, break handoff and contact chain?

Daniel: That's question three. I also need to know what “short” means.

Lena: Ask for a page or word limit rather than guessing.

Daniel: Question four: is there a maximum length we should work to?

Lena: The last gap is approval. Who has final approval, and who only verifies logistics?

Part B — Reformulating the answers

Daniel: Priya has replied. The audience is only the opening-hour greeters.

Lena: What format did she confirm?

Daniel: One mobile-friendly PDF, one page, ideally under three hundred words.

Lena: And the must-haves?

Daniel: Arrival time, accessible entrance, service-desk station, break handoff and a role-based contact chain. No exhibition content or personal phone numbers.

Lena: Who signs off?

Daniel: Priya has final content approval. Sam verifies access and facilities details; he doesn't approve the whole document.

Lena: Let me make sure I've got this right. The brief is a one-page internal PDF for opening-hour greeters, under three hundred words, with five operational sections. Priya approves it, and Sam checks only logistics.

Daniel: Exactly. The internal-review deadline is still Thursday at four; public distribution isn't part of this task.

Lena: I see your point about stating that boundary. If anyone needs more than the internal sheet, we'll need a separate brief.

Daniel: Good. Now I can revise the right document instead of making an attractive answer to the wrong question.

6. Grammar in the Scene — 嵌入式问句

1. 特殊疑问词后用陈述语序

Who is the audience?
Could you confirm who the audience is?

不是who is the audience的倒装顺序。

2. whether确认两个版本

Could you confirm whether the PDF is for greeters only?

whether后同样使用陈述语序。

3. When you say…, do you mean…?

When you say short, do you mean one page?

前半引用原词，后半提供可核对解释。答案仍可能是否定或第三种版本。

4. 复述不是复制

Let me reformulate that. The sheet is internal, one page and for opening-hour greeters only.

复述应重新组织核心限制，不能只重复原句。

在任务澄清新情境中完成：

  1. 承认对方想保持文档简短，但说明“include everything”仍不清楚。

选择一项低风险任务，把原说明原样写下。圈出至少三个可有多种解释的词，再写五个确认问题。

现实互动

向任务提出者核对其中一个真正影响结果的问题。没有任务提出者时，让同伴随机改变一个答案，训练纠正。
