Lesson 36 — Wait, How Did That Happen?

等等，那是怎么发生的？

本课只有一个现实任务：听别人讲一件包含转折的事，通过追问补齐关键细节，再把经过准确地复述给没有在场的人。

1. Before You Start

本课目标

学完本课，你能够：

在时间、人物或因果关系不清楚时自然打断并追问；
用简短回应表示自己正在跟上故事；
复述自己听到的顺序，请讲述者核对；
区分原话、自己的推断和仍然未知的信息；
在含未知补充信息的故事中追问后作一分钟准确复述。

本课边界

这是Unit 9整合课，不新增主要语法。重点是把第33—35课的叙事时间线、过去完成时和间接转述真正用于互动。没有听到的信息必须追问或标为未知，不能为了让故事“更完整”而自行补写。

2. Main Conversation

The photograph that came back twice

At the arts center, Grace tells Daniel and Lena what happened to one candidate photograph. Daniel stops her when the sequence becomes unclear.

Part A — Finding the missing link

Grace: You won't believe what happened with the Harbor Street photograph. It all started when I took a copy to Mrs. Flores on Tuesday.

Daniel: The woman who had expressed interest in sharing a story?

Grace: Right. At first, she didn't recognize the people, but she said her brother might. A few minutes later, she called him, and he identified the man beside the bicycle.

Lena: So the family gave us permission to use the photo?

Grace: No. They only identified one person. We're not committing to public display yet.

Daniel: Good distinction. What happened next?

Grace: I put our copy back in its archive sleeve. Just as I was about to leave, Mrs. Flores handed me another envelope with a note for Owen.

Daniel: Wait, how did that envelope end up here at the arts center?

Grace: That's the confusing part. I left it at the café front desk on my way home.

Part B — Checking before retelling

Lena: But Owen brought an envelope here this morning. He said a customer had left it at the café.

Daniel: Let me make sure I've got this right. Grace delivered one envelope to the café on Tuesday. Before that, Mrs. Flores had put a note for Owen inside it. Then, sometime later, a customer left a different envelope there.

Grace: Almost. Owen's envelope was the same one. The customer had picked it up by mistake, noticed Owen's name, and returned it the next morning.

Daniel: The customer had taken it before Owen saw it?

Grace: Exactly.

Lena: And what was inside?

Grace: A copy of a second photograph and Mrs. Flores's note. According to the note, her brother thought the bicycle shop owner might know more. She asked whether we wanted an introduction.

Daniel: So, you're saying that we now have a possible contact, not a confirmed story or permission.

Grace: Correct.

Lena: In the end, the envelope returned, we gained one lead, and no original photograph was lost.

Daniel: Did I miss anything?

Grace: One thing: I already replied that we'd like an introduction, but I made no promise about the exhibit.

4. Read, Notice, Understand

A. A different story: the late lunch delivery

11:42 — The café received two lunch bags. One was marked “Maple Court,” and one was marked “Harbor Street.”
11:47 — A driver collected the Maple Court bag.
11:55 — A customer asked why her Harbor Street order had not arrived.
12:01 — The café checked the receipt and discovered that the two address labels had been placed on the wrong bags before either driver arrived.
12:08 — Both drivers were contacted. Neither bag had been opened.
12:26 — The bags reached the correct addresses, and the café refunded both delivery fees.

B. What a careful listener still needs to ask

这份记录说明了顺序和处理结果，但没有说明：

谁最先发现标签贴错；
两位顾客是否接受延迟；
咖啡店后来如何防止同类问题。

复述时可以说 The record doesn't say …，不能把合理猜测说成事实。

C. One-minute retelling frame

先用两条追问补信息，再按照“起点—转折—原因—结果”复述。不要逐条照念时间戳。

等等，那是怎么发生的？当故事从A突然跳到C时，用来请求补上中间环节。中性、自然；语气过重可能像质疑。

接下来发生了什么？开放式追问，让讲述者继续时间线。

所以你的意思是……。复述当前理解并邀请纠正；不要用它故意歪曲对方的话。

4. Let me make sure I've got this right.

我确认一下自己有没有理解对。适合在信息较多时先整理再复述。

我有没有漏掉什么？复述后邀请补充，而不是假定自己的版本已经完整。

事情是从……开始的。给故事设置清楚起点。

根据她的留言，……。明确消息来源，不把转述说成自己的直接知识。

她问是否……。转述一般疑问句时使用陈述语序。

最后，……。给出实际结果，而不是再加入新的背景细节。

Don't Say It That Way

6. Grammar Refresh — 用三套语言完成一次准确复述

1. 故事主线：一般过去时

Grace left the envelope at the café.
A customer picked it up by mistake.

2. 当时背景：过去进行时

Grace was explaining the sequence when Daniel stopped her to ask a question.

3. 更早一步：过去完成时

The customer had taken the envelope before Owen saw it.

4. 转述来源：said / told / asked

Owen said that a customer had returned it.
Mrs. Flores asked whether the group wanted an introduction.

5. 互动核对：复述不是结论

So, you're saying that the envelope came back the next morning.
Did I miss anything?

D. Lesson 32跨册检索

Ask for the current workable version after several ideas.
Suggest reducing the first stage to a realistic size.
State that the group has not promised public use.
Name the first action rather than the whole ambition.
Require agreement before an announcement.

E. 含未知补充信息的故事：追问与复述

伙伴A只看第3部分午餐记录，并秘密抽取一张补充卡：

Card 1: A staff member noticed the identical bag weights.
Card 2: One driver called after seeing an unfamiliar street name.
Card 3: Both customers accepted the delay after receiving updates.

伙伴B不看补充卡，先听45—75秒叙述，再至少追问两次。随后B用一分钟复述，并明确哪些信息仍然未知。A只纠正事实，不要求B复述原句。

没有伙伴时，把三张卡分别编号并随机抽取一张，先用系统朗读第3部分记录，再在不看正文的情况下查看抽中的补充卡。录下两个应追问的问题和一分钟复述，最后按答案区核对“已知／仍未知”。这仍是含未知补充信息的练习，不是正式陌生声音测评。

F. 转告写作

写80—120词，把午餐配送事件转告给未在场的值班经理。必须包括信息来源、三个时间节点、较早原因、最终处理和一项仍未知的信息。

G. 单元最终迁移：真正未见过的故事

请伙伴选择一件你不知道的低风险真实小事，或让系统临时生成一段80—110词的原创日常故事。故事必须包含：背景、三个事件、一个更早原因、一个转折、一个结果，并故意省略一项可追问的关键信息。你不能提前看文字。

只听一遍；
至少追问两次，其中一次补时间线、一次补人物或原因；
用一分钟复述，并用 Let me make sure I've got this right 启动核对；
请讲述者按“事实顺序／来源／未知信息”三项纠正；
第二次复述时只修正事实，不背诵原句。

没有伙伴时，让系统先朗读故事、暂不显示文字；若设备无法隐藏文字，请找一段未学过的安全生活语音替代。熟悉课文或已读过的第3部分不能计作本任务证据。

9. Make It Yours

真实互动

选择一件安全、不会暴露他人隐私的真实小意外，例如错过车辆、拿错物品、忘记附件、临时改地点。第一轮讲2分钟；伙伴必须用本课新词块追问并作一分钟复述。你只能纠正事实，不能要求对方使用与你完全相同的句子。

独立复述

只看 start / background / earlier / turn / result / source / unknown 七个提示，录90秒。至少使用一个过去进行时、一个过去完成时、一个转述结构和两个时间路标。

三天后的复习

请伙伴换一个陌生小故事。你先追问，再录一分钟复述。比较两次录音：第二次是否减少了不必要猜测，是否仍能讲清顺序和结果。

E. 含未知补充信息的故事核对

All cards: 已知标签在司机到达前贴错、两袋均未打开、最终送达正确地址并退还配送费；仍未知咖啡店后来采用的预防流程。
Card 1: 新增已知为一名员工注意到两袋重量相同；材料没有说明这是否让其发现错误，也不能推出是谁贴错标签。
Card 2: 新增已知为一名司机因陌生街名打电话；仍不能推出是哪位司机或谁最先改正。
Card 3: 新增已知为两位顾客在收到更新后接受延迟；仍不能推出他们最初的反应。

F. 转告写作参考

According to the café's incident record, two lunch bags were prepared for Maple Court and Harbor Street. The address labels had been switched before either driver arrived. At 11:47, one driver collected the bag marked Maple Court. By 12:01, staff had checked the receipt and discovered the mistake. Both drivers were contacted, and neither bag had been opened. In the end, the correct bags arrived at 12:26, and both delivery fees were refunded. The record doesn't say who first noticed the wrong labels or what prevention step the café adopted afterward.

G. 单元最终迁移核对表

开放故事没有唯一答案。合格复述应让讲述者能回答“是”或给出具体纠正：
