Finding a jacket that fits

Aisha returns to Northline Clothing with a jacket she bought the day before. She has the receipt and the tags are still attached.

Part A — Explaining the problem

Sales associate: Hi. How can I help?

Aisha: I'd like to exchange this jacket. I bought a small, but the sleeves are too short.

Sales associate: No problem. Do you have the receipt?

Aisha: Yes, and I haven't removed the tags. Do you have this in a medium?

Sales associate: We have the same color in a medium. We also have a more fitted cut in medium. Both have longer sleeves.

Aisha: Could I try both of them on?

Sales associate: Of course. The fitting rooms are behind you.

Part B — Comparing three options

Sales associate: How does the standard medium fit?

Aisha: The sleeves are long enough, but the body is too loose. It feels bigger than I need.

Sales associate: And the more fitted medium?

Aisha: This one fits better. The sleeves are longer than the first jacket's, and the body isn't as loose as the standard medium.

Sales associate: That cut is twelve dollars more expensive.

Aisha: I saw that. Is the navy one the same price?

Sales associate: Yes, but we only have navy in small and large today.

Aisha: Then the gray medium is the best option. It's comfortable enough, and the sleeves are the right length. I'll take this one.

Sales associate: Great. I'll process the exchange. You only need to pay the twelve-dollar difference.

Aisha: Thanks. I'm glad I kept the receipt.

C. fit、size与look不同

• size 是标签上的尺码：small, medium, large；
• fit 是穿在身上是否合适：tight, loose, comfortable；

8. Do you have the receipt?

有收据吗？退换时常见的核对问题。

9. It's … enough.

它足够……。形容词放在 enough 前：long enough，不是 enough long。

10. You only need to pay the difference.

你只需要补差价。付款前应确认具体金额。

long → longer
small → smaller
large → larger

The sleeves are longer than the first jacket's.

2. 较长形容词用more

comfortable → more comfortable
expensive → more expensive

Option C is more expensive than Option A.

3. too：超过合适范围

The sleeves are too short.
The body is too loose.

too 不只是“很”，而是暗示这个程度造成问题。

4. enough：达到所需程度

The sleeves are long enough.
The jacket isn't warm enough.

形容词在前，enough 在后。

任务一：三选一

选择衣服、鞋、包或其他你熟悉的商品，制作三张小卡片，每张只写：尺码／规格、一个关键尺寸、颜色、价格、库存。伙伴暗中改变一项库存后，你完成60—120秒互动：

1. 说明退换意图和原因；
2. 询问目标尺码或颜色；
3. 试用或检查两个替代项；
4. 至少作三次有信息价值的比较；
5. 用 too 和 enough 各一次；
6. 明确最终选择和差价。

至少自然使用本课7项全新主动表达中的6项。

任务二：独立录音

不让伙伴参与，录60—90秒“商品评估”。听者必须能回答：原商品哪里不合适、三个选项怎样不同、你为何作出最终选择。

三天后的复习

不看本课，用三个真实商品页面完成：

Compare the size or specifications, price, and one practical feature. Reject one as too much or too little, identify one that is good enough, and choose.
